St John embodies a true tropical island feel, nothing like the commercialized, tourist-driven destinations. I was so inspired by it in 2015 that it propelled me to dive deeper into the creative process of perfumery. I took classes and gained insight from experienced, artisanal, and Indie perfumers in order to zone in on the tropical sector of perfumery. It was no easy task, but it was worth every minute. However, my father died about the time I began taking classes, and I lost interest. The next night, I dreamed of my father's hand reaching through the window where my perfume materials were, and he pointed to the Quince bottle, so when I woke up the next morning, I added it to the formula, and that was the missing link I needed to continue perusing the creation of this fragrance. My goal was to create a fragrance from start to finish that transports you to an island of paradise was unrelenting. The feeling of standing barefoot on warm soil and biting into sun-ripened fruit fresh from the tree brought my heart to a place of cherished memories of my late father and felt like home to me. The fruit-filled tropical breezes are captured in every bottle for you to enjoy. The vision is mine, but the journey is yours.
